Six thrift store locations in Greater Cincinnati provide low-cost and no-cost quality used furniture, household items and clothing for a variety of people. Some who seek help are truly destitute and need the most basic items -- pans to cook with, clothing for school or work, a kitchen table. They are given vouchers allowing them to "purchase" furniture, clothing and household items from our stores at no charge. Many regular customers are elderly people on fixed incomes or low- income families who can't afford to shop at full-priced stores. St. Vincent de Paul stores help people care for themselves in a way that preserves their dignity and their pride.
"When I first moved to Norwood eight years ago with my four children, we didn't have anything. The St. Vincent de Paul Conference at Holy Trinity gave us vouchers to shop for clothes. Then our vouchers helped us with furniture. Once in a while I still need help. My kids always get excited about going shopping and picking out clothes when we go to the St. Vincent de Paul store."
