Xavier Food Drive
FULL COURT PRESS AGAINST HUNGER
The XU Food Drive for St. Vincent de Paul takes place Nov. 18 before Xavier basketball game
The Xavier Musketeers will face off against the Old Dominion Monarchs and host a food drive for St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati (SVDP) on Tuesday, Nov. 18. Fans can support both the Musketeers and the community during a time of record need.
SVDP provided food for nearly 3,000 families in the month of October and set a record during this time for the most families served in a single day in its 156-year history. Rising grocery costs and disruptions to SNAP benefits mean that there is an urgent need for people to unite in support of those impacted.
“Because we serve at the intersection of food, housing, and health, we are seeing this crisis in real time,” said Brad McMonigle, CEO of SVDP. “We will continue to step up with compassion, dignity, and urgency — but doing so at this scale requires all of us working together.”
