Hamilton County residents are eligible to receive a winter coat at one of our distribution events or by receiving a coat voucher. We will host two coat distribution events for neighbors in need of a coat this winter. Coat distribution events will be held:
- Saturday, November 8 from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. at Elder High School
- Tuesday, December 9 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Clippard Family YMCA
- Alternatively, neighbors can redeem coat vouchers at all St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati Thrift Store locations beginning November 17.
Voucher distribution will start on Monday, November 17 and run through the end of February. To request vouchers for use at SVDP thrift stores, please visit the Neyer Outreach Center (1146 William L. Mallory, Sr. Street – formerly Bank St.) during walk-in hours with ID/verification for each person in need of a coat. See below for a list of verification documents accepted.
Residents of Northern Kentucky are served by St. Vincent de Paul of Northern Kentucky. Coat distribution events in Northern Kentucky will take place:
- Saturday, November 22 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at John G. Carlisle Elementary School (910 Holman St., Covington, KY 41011) and Life Learning Center (20 W. 18th Street, Covington, KY 41011)
- Saturday, December 6 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Cristo Rey Church (25 Cavalier Blvd., Florence, KY 41042) and Newport Intermediate School Gym (95 W. 9th Street, Newport. KY, 41071)
Neighbors do not need to register for these events, but please be sure to bring identification for the head of the household as well as all family members needing coats. One coat per person per season, please.
For heads of household, we require a photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport, MARCC ID card, VESTA card, etc.). For household members, we will accept any of the following:
- Photo IDs (as listed above)
- SNAP eligibility letter listing household members
- Social security cards
- Medical cards
- Birth certificates
- Lease listing household members
