Dear Vincentian Friends,

Pam has been on Promise to Pay with GCWW for over a year, but she has not kept up with her water bill. Service was shutoff on 8/25/24 and she must pay $823 to get her water turned on.

Pam is 74 years old and has heart and kidney problems and was just diagnosed with Parkinson Disease. She has a hard time climbing the steps to her house because of knee problems. She cares for four grandchildren ages 19, 18, 13, and 5.She lives on her disability, a benefit for one of the children and occasional help from her son when he is able. Her income unfortunately does not cover all her expenses. Her rent is over $1500.

We would like to help her get water usage again while she looks for better living arrangements.
Our conference can only offer $200. Can anyone help us with part of the remaining $623?

Cathedral/St X conference will help with $100.
I am a retired SW from the Council On Aging of SW Ohio. While they cannot help with bills, she may be eligible for home services. This could include a chairlift to help her with steps or a ramp. I would let her know to call 513-721-1025 to talk to an intake person.
