Seasonal Programs

We’re busy helping all year

Our seasonal outreach programs are designed to help meet the needs of our neighbors throughout the year. The programs include:

Winter

Coat Distributions

Are you in need of a coat to keep warm this winter? From November through February, we distribute hundreds of coats to our neighbors.

You may come to the Neyer Outreach Center at William L. Mallory, Sr. Street (formerly Bank St.) to request a coat voucher to any of our thrift stores. Open to Hamilton County residents. Must bring valid ID for each neighbor receiving a coat. Click here for more information.

Fall

Thanksgiving Food Distribution

Thanksgiving is a time to gather with loved ones around the dinner table, sharing our gratitude and joy with those who mean the most. To help with this holiday tradition, St. Vincent de Paul distributes Thanksgiving meal kits, including a turkey and all the fixings. Our 2025 distribution will be held at the Neyer Outreach Center on Tuesday, November 25, starting at 9:00 a.m.

Any neighbor living in Hamilton County is eligible to participate in the Thanksgiving Food Distribution. There is no need to sign up in advance, but we do ask that you bring your photo ID, and neighbors will need to complete a TEFAP form to receive food. Neighbors are eligible regardless of whether SVDP food assistance has already been provided in November from our Catino Choice Food Pantry or a Conference-operated food pantry.

Winter

Christmas Together Gift Program

Christmas Together Gift Assistance
St. Vincent de Paul offers the Christmas Together program to help families provide Christmas gifts for their children. Families are invited to apply for assistance; however, applying does not guarantee participation. Selections are made based on the application information provided, not on a first-come, first-served basis. Families are eligible to receive assistance every other year.

Our online request form is now closed. Neighbors who requested assistance will hear by November 26, 2025 if we are able to assist them.

Winter

Christmas Food Distribution

While presents under the tree are often the highlight of Christmas Day, the Christmas dinner with family is just as special. To help make that possible, St. Vincent de Paul will distribute everything needed for a holiday meal — fresh produce, all the fixings, and a ham. Our 2025 distribution will be held at the Neyer Outreach Center on Thursday, December 18, starting at 9:00 a.m.

Any neighbor living in Hamilton County is eligible to participate in the Christmas Food Distribution. There is no need to sign up in advance, but we do ask that you bring your photo ID, and neighbors will need to complete a TEFAP form to receive food. Eligibility applies regardless of whether SVDP food assistance has already been provided in December from our Catino Choice Food Pantry or a Conference-operated food pantry.

Summer

A/C Distribution

SVDP provides air conditioning units to residents of Hamilton County who are aged 65 or older or have a medical need for an air conditioner. Additionally, eligible individuals must not have received an air conditioner from SVDP in the past four years. These criteria ensure that the most vulnerable members of our community receive the assistance they require to stay safe during the hot summer months. Our online A/C request form opens each year on May 1. Please click here on or after May 1, 2026 to request an A/C.
